Exodus 15:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

Exodus 15:14-15 The Voice (VOICE)

14 Already people have heard and they tremble;
those who inhabit Philistia are gripped by fear.
15 Even now the chiefs of Edom are deeply disturbed;
Moabís leaders cannot stop trembling;
all who live in Canaan are deeply distressed and wasting away.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

14 The Philistines were the biggest group living within Canaan they were the main group that would give Israel trouble when they refused to trust the Lord. The fear of the Lord was in the cities when Joshua came the people just had a fear and did not trust in the Lord as they and because of the lack of faith the other peoples fear went away.

15 Edomities were the descendents of Esau this Was Israelís brother to whom they are children of, God would be more patience with Edom due to them being descendents of Abraham. Moabites were descendents of Lot who was Abrahamís nephew. The people in Canaan were the other groups of people that lived there with the exception of the Ammonites which were descendents of Lot, all these groups served gods other then the Lord who Israel at this time served, it would be because of the rebellious ways that God would be taking the land from them and give it to Israel later Israel would lose land for the same reason.
