Exodus 15:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

Exodus 15:3-5 Living Bible (TLB)

3 The Lord is a warrior—
Yes, Jehovah is his name.
4 He has overthrown Pharaoh’s chariots and armies,
Drowning them in the sea.
The famous Egyptian captains are dead beneath the waves.
5 The water covers them.
They went down into the depths like a stone.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

3 The Lord came before Joshua as a solider, the Lord here fought the battle for them so they did not even have to lift a sword, the Lord constantly battle evil on our behalf as His followers, He keeps us from the battles we can not win.

4 The best of the Egypt’s military came after Israel and now they were at the bottom of the sea because of the Lord. Egypt doors closed for Israel by the sea falling around Egypt, they would never be able to return. God sometimes will close doors for us so we will not go back.

5 God showed Israel by this that He was mightier than Egypt and their gods. God will do things to allow us to put our trust in Him.
