Exodus 14:21-25 King James Version (KJV)
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

Exodus 14:21-25 Living Bible (TLB)

21 Meanwhile, Moses stretched his rod over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the sea, with walls of water on each side; and a strong east wind blew all that night, drying the sea bottom. 22 So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground! 23 Then the Egyptians followed them between the walls of water along the bottom of the sea—all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and horsemen. 24 But in the early morning Jehovah looked down from the cloud of fire upon the array of the Egyptians, and began to harass them. 25 Their chariot wheels began coming off, so that their chariots scraped along the dry ground. “Let’s get out of here,” the Egyptians yelled. “Jehovah is fighting for them and against us.”

21 The Lord drive the sea back not Moses many people accept that Moses was the one that performed this miracle but it was the Lord doing it because of Moses act of faith which was shown by him raising his hand over the sea. Sometimes God will perform miracles by us we just have to show our faith in Him.

22 God not only made the water rise to where they could walk through the sea but He did it in a way where the feet would not become muddy because it was dry land not wet ground even though water had just been on it.

23 The Pharaoh thought they could get through as well because of this, Pharaoh saw the water raised but did not see it was because of the Lord doing for Israel. People often times want God to show them a miracle for them to believe and they are like Pharaoh seeing people going through the sea but they just see the Israelites on the other side.

24 The Egyptians may have had a fear of the Lord do to all the plagues that He sent to them. They instantly knew the Lord was allowing the sea to be parted.

25 The Lord prevented them from catching up to them, the Lord will often times prevent things from over taking us because we can not be brought back to Egypt, the Israel would not be brought back because it was not what we lead them to the Lord but would drive them further away, the Lord will often do what will bring us closest to Him.
