I like to go to the Fellowship of the Woodlands here in Texas. The pastor is Kerry Shook he is really good. I also sometimes go to a pentacostal church but they are a little to extreem and they beg to much for the offering.

Re: What types of churches does everyone go to?

The last time I went to church was a few months ago. We are searching
for something new, I am asking the Lord to give me some home Church folks. I
really am disappointed in Baptist Catholic, and Pentecostal, They all have something
wrong with them. I can't stand pretence and show offs. This forum for now is my
Church; I will like all of you to pray for us that God will lead us into something
that is more close to His word like Home
Church, like in the book
of Acts they went from house to house; that is the real Church it is us not a
building. I will never find the perfect Church because we are not perfect. I do
love my Church but it is not for me. I do not learn anything that I do not know
already. If I go to Bible study the teacher does all the talking we can never
inter act with each other. Than our pastor encourages the people to act wild. I
am sorry but like I said if you act crazy you need your Demons out, that is not
the Holy Spirit. When our Pastor speaks in tongues nobody interprets Him why? I
believe he means well and I can’t judge his motives, but like I said right now
I am at a stand still. I miss going to church, but I am scare just to be disappointed
again. I just can’t fit in the Baptist because they teach eternal security,
which is not biblical. The Pentecostal’s teach the word of God more in accordance
with the Bible. I believe God has chosen them to deliver the Gospel to the
whole world because they do teach you to live holy for God. They are also right
when they say you can loose anything God gives you. Like I have said we are not
puppets and God is not forcing us to do anything we do not want to do. We reed
His word and the Word is what changes us because the Word is alive and it
brings faith, and faith moves all the mountains in our lives. God bless you all
Anna

Hmmmm.....well I believe there are many good solid bible teaching churches out there as well as there are many man pleasing churches out there.
Thankfully our church does rely on the Holy Spirit and teaches God's word- it is non denominational.
I too pray the Lord will always lead us to the right church, for there was a time we too were struggling with churches. I had no desire to go because I was not being "fed" God's word enough. And that is the key, to be FED God's word as it is- scripture by scripture is what I prefer.

I attend mass at my parish, a Catholic church, every Sunday. I walk to it and I seem to find solace in the words spoken by the priest from the pulpit. There are a lot of really good people who volunteer to speak to the congregation and there seems to be a lot of sincere love and devotion to God.

I have never been comfortable to go to a church where there is a lot of screaming, talking in tongues, acting out. I find solace in quietly praying in the seat even though there may be many around me. I find my church allows me to be myself while listening to the word of God from the priest, and, that if I want to pray there is no pressure to do anything else. I do love the sharing of the bread and wine like it was done by our Lord Jesus at the last supper.

God is great....

In heaven, it will be so loud with praise that you will have
to be given new ears, because you earthly ears would not be able to withstand
that kind of sound. It will be off the scale. The apostle John said he heard
the sound in heaven like a great sound, like the sound of mighty waters, and
loud thunders and lightening. And the voices of the angels were overpowering. I
can’t wait. As far as Church goes, it is okay to be loud as long as it is in
praise to God, not a lot of non since, but genuine praise to God. Shouts of Hallelujah,
and worthy is the lamb and Glory to God in the highest, should fill the air.
Praise your Holy Name forever and ever, Lord Jesus.

I attend a messianic synagog called "Beth Yeshua" (House of Jesus)the rabbi Bruce Booker has been a real inspiration and good brother in the Lord.I love the way bruce ties the scriptures together from both the Torah as well as the Apostalic writings. This has opened my eyes to many scriptures that seemed incomprehensible in the past.I can now see the common thread that runs through every book of the bible and reflects the very mind of the Father. This has also clarified many of the things spoken of in the NT that relate directly back to the Torah. This has been a special blessing to me.

4Zion that is very interesting that your synagog also follows the word of Christ. It must be really wonderful to hear the rabbi speak of both the Old and New Testament.

God bless you and your synagog....

Thank you Rosetta,I feel very fortunate to have this messianic congregation in our area. The rabbi Bruce Booker, has authored a few books and has some very excellent insights into scripture. I do feel blessed to have this brother as a close friend.Oh by the way Bruce is going in to the VA for surgery tommorow(nothing very serious) I am sure he would appreciate your prayers.
We try to bridge the gap between christianity and judaism. The main goal is to open the door to witness to our jewish friends about Yeshua as the messiah of Israel. It is unfortunate that many christians tend to think we are some sort of cult or something. We do not teach that salvation comes by obedience to the law.Salvation is by faith as it always has been through grace extended to us through the blood of Yeshua. We do have a website for our congregation(Beth Yeshua) if you care to read some of what we are about.Shalom

I attend well we are not consider a denonation but if we wee it be pentacostal.

The church I go to i want all my life and I have great friends there.

I can not drive and when my friends are able they take me home after church.

Sometimes they even stop at burger King and ask ya hungry and Then they say I'm paying.

The main reason I like it because the holy spirit is so alive that it really knocks people out there comfort zone and that how I like it.

Way to go Sugarman, the Holy Spirit is really awesome isn’t it. It sheds Light on every area of a persons live and makes things that are hidden in darkness revealed in it’s light. It is the most powerful force in the universe and yet, at the same time the most gentle with us. It calls softly to us to come out of sin and gently nudges us to turn from evil, never pushing us or forcing us. We are free to make our own choices. How Awesome that God would share a part of Himself with us sinners. We are saved and are forgiven but yet still will remain sinners until we see Jesus face to face - First John 3:2, and be made pure as He is pure. God is proud of you Sugarman for fighting the good fight and not turning to the left or the right. You walk on the straight and narrow path and God loves you for it, and I am proud of you. God Bless you dear Sugarman, my brother in Christ. Lee
