Turning away from sin, how?
Here is a brief study but true. One does not get save by turning away from sin to be saved, one gets saved by just believing that Jesus die spilled His blood and received your penalty with His blood and His death. Remember blood and death is needed for your salvation not our filthy rags, all you have to do is believe this-- that He saved you after you believe you will confess that he has saved you. Why so many people say I believe but there was never a conversion from the spirit, meaning born again not of corruption but of incorruption. Here is the best way I can clarify it, when one is really saved and born again, He changes you. You hear the gospel that Jesus loves you so much that He die for your sins, spilled His blood sprinkle it on the mercy seat of God the Father, Rose from the grave and now all you have to do is believed, when I say believe I mean your mind is totally changed from getting your self off the throne and putting Him at the center of your heart and mind. A renewal mind if you please. About self it does not exist any longer you are dead from the time you have receive the Holy Spirit, now all the work that fallows is His Spirit in you that works both to will. Phillipians 2: 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.Now you come into the picture OK you believe you say, but remember so does the devil believe and he trembles, are you doing the same? Do you think once saved always saved? You do not have to do anything but believe, if this is true than were are the fruits that you did believe. The truth of the matter is, if you do not hunger to know about Him, spend most of your free time to pray, seek to know Him deeply by reading His Word, most likely you were never saved. This is what Jeremiah has said KJV Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said; I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. NJWA 9. I would say to myself, "I will not think about him,
I will not speak in his name any more,"
But then there seemed to be a fire burning in my heart, Imprisoned in my bones.
The effort to restrain hold it back it wearied me, I could not do it. If you can walk around and not have a fire in you that consumes you for all of Him, than you are not saved or you are backslidden. Has any born again Christian felt this way or even now after the years go by feel like this; if not checked your card you are backsliding. A save person is to go from glory to glory, and never stay in the same position, you might slack a bit, but you will never stay in that position because you just cant! Jesus Spirit will draw you to come back to Him by making you feel empty and dry. How to be an over comer depends on how much you know about Him and how much you see yourself as missing the mark of His perfection. He is Holy and He asks you be Holy for I AM Holy, do you think He say this just to scare you; or is He demanding this from us. So our next step will be take one step and see were are you lacking if you have to fast pray and seek His face do so. Remember the more God’s Word lives in you the more you feel Him near and the more power you will have from Him to deliver you. How much do you want to be free from a certain sin, well stay focus on that one sin and ask Him to help you to be an over comer, and He will. I worry about those people who ask Yahweh for money and other things instead of more of Him in their lives. We cannot over-come unless He helps us. So from now on you we must seek Him with your whole hearts to find His deliverance not our own. If Yahweh has deliver you than you shall be deliver and Satan cannot come to you with that same sin, but if you are trying in your own strength than it will come back again and again to defeat you. LB Ephesians 6:11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies--the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. So use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God's approval. Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.
And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit--which is the Word of God. Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit's wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere. Pray for me, too, and ask God to give me the right words as I boldly tell others about the Lord, and as I explain to them that his salvation is for the Gentiles too. Hi Anna, yo are so right. I guess at times when i feel like i am slipping and my heart is cluttered with everyday worldly worries and at times feel like it is too much...and just when i feel like i am not with the Spirit that is when i will stop myself and pray and just concentrate on the Spirit and ask to feel Him in me, and yes that litlle not from Him saying I am here is felt thru my body , the tingling that just starts from nothing and i know it is not the weather. It is the feeling of a slight tingling inside of me running throughout and stopping always at my throat. I guess the Spirit wants me to talk because i feel like a grip on my vocal chords in my throat. I am grateful that i get the signal that all is okay and that He never left even though i may not have been an examplary servant. I know He can read my heart, and though i may not always turn the other cheeck that i do try to stay within His will.
I feel that those who receive the Spirit is for a reason and even though we do run the risk of losing that privilege He must have chosen us for a reason. That we shall find out when we come face to face with God, and , to say the truth just writing this gives me the chills and puts a certain amount of fear, not of seeing God but of fear of Him now here on earth. Something in us that has made God choose us to be the receivers of the Spirit and God bless and thank you Lord for choosing me.
We must all edify each other and lend each other a hand to make sure that if one strays we kick them back in the fold. Millions of evil angels want nothing better then to throw in God's face that they took one of His chosen ...let us not give the beast the chance to take any of us...

I feel that those who receive the Spirit is for a reason and even though we do run the risk of losing that privilege He must have chosen us for a reason. That we shall find out when we come face to face with God, and , to say the truth just writing this gives me the chills and puts a certain amount of fear, not of seeing God but of fear of Him now here on earth. Something in us that has made God choose us to be the receivers of the Spirit and God bless and thank you Lord for choosing me.
